As a first-time mom, I wasn’t aware of the need to “childproof” our home. I didn’t even know that such word exists. 😊 I never thought of it until my sweet little baby Tash turned into a toddler who likes to walk and run around the house, grab every little item on her way, and touch almost anything that catches her attention.

What I saw from a TV commercial a long  time ago was now happening to me. That scene of a toddler grabbing a dirty item and putting it inside her mouth as the mommy yells “Noooooo”! It’s a pretty common scene in our household nowadays. 😊

That’s how I realized the need to “childproof” our home.

To put it simply, childproofing your home refers to those little things you do to make your home-sweet-home a home-safe-home for your toddler.  I honestly have Hubby to thank for initiating this.  I guess men are, by nature, more proactive when it comes to safety. Haha! Though we haven’t 100% childproofed our home yet, it’s good to start some efforts that will help keep our child safe at home.
