Family Bonding at Hamilo Coast, Pico de Loro

Just before the merry month of May ended, our family had our last minute summer outing at Hamilo Coast (Pico de Loro Cove) in Nasugbu, Batangas.

Relaxing on the stretch of Pico de Loro’s fine sand πŸ– was worth more than 2 hours of land travel for our Metro Manila-based family thirsting for Vitamin SEA. 🌊

Accommodation

If you want to experience beach time at Pico de Loro, you have two choices of accommodation. You can book a room at the Pico Sands Hotel. You can book a room at around P4,000-7,000 (with breakfast).

Another option is to stay in one of the mid-rise residential buildings of Pico de Loro Cove’s Lagoon Property Series inside Hamilo Coast. The residential buildings offer a relaxing view as they surround a four-hectare salt water man-made lagoon, perfect for that Instagram pictorial. 😎

To have an overnight stay in one of these residential buildings, it’s either you own a unit or you know a unit owner who’s willing to let you borrow the unit. 😁 No worries if none of the above applies as you can always find one through Airbnb, right? Hello, millennials! 😎

The downside of booking an Airbnb unit compared to staying in a hotel though is you don’t get to have that much-awaited free breakfast buffet the morning after. Plus, you don’t get to use free shower gel, shampoo and lotion in little bottles that you can take home without guilt. The best part of it, however, is you can cook your very own breakfast, lunch and dinner the exact way you want to! 🀩 Plus, you feel like you’re in a home away from your own home.

I’ll be sharing with you my family’s accommodation for our Pico de Loro trip. It’s a cozy unit at the Myna residential building.

It’s not on Airbnb yet, BUT it soon will be. If you’re interested to book the unit for your next family getaway, don’t be shy to message me at blissfulbloomingblog@gmail.com. πŸ₯°

Guest Fee and Amenities

Booking a unit in one of the residential buildings in Hamilo Coast DOES NOT entitle guests to free use of the beach, swimming pool and other amenities. (Unless, of course, if you’re a unit owner)

Yes, it’s sad but true. 😭 Since the beachfront recreational facility is exclusive to members, each guest has to pay a fee (P1300 as of our last visit) to enjoy swimming in the beach or the adult and kiddie pools.

Here are the other outdoor activities (with separate fees) that guests can try:

  • Biking
  • Trekking
  • Fish feeding
  • Cove tour
  • Diving
  • Kayaking
  • Snorkeling
  • Windsurfing
  • Para Sailing
  • Beach volleyball
  • Beach football

There is also a Country Club that offers guests a wide selection of indoor and outdoor sports and recreational facilities. Guests can also choose (separate fees) from the following country club amenities:

  • Bowling Center
  • Billiards
  • Badminton Courts
  • Olympic Size Basketball Court
  • Squash Courts
  • Tennis Courts
  • Club Pico (children’s play area)
  • Gym
  • Private Karaoke Rooms
  • Video Game Center

There is a P250 entrance fee for kids to enjoy the play area. 😎

Restaurant

If you’re too tired to cook after swimming, you can dine at the Lagoa Restaurant inside the Pico de Loro Country Club. Practical Mommy alert! Every item on the menu is expensive. πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€‘

St. Therese Chapel

For Catholics, there is a chapel within Hamilo Coast where you can celebrate Sunday mass. My family attended the 11 am mass at the St. Therese Chapel.

Outside the chapel was a breathtaking view of God’s masterpiece.

Good thing there were shuttles that take guests from one location to another, making it easier to travel from the hotel or residential unit to the beach club to the chapel. By the way, the shuttle service is free! Thank God for free things! πŸ˜†

Again, feel free to send an email to blissfulbloomingblog@gmail.com for accommodation inquiries. 😎
