I tried Yoga for the first time when I was pregnant with our daughter Tash. My prenatal Yoga sessions really helped me relax and feel healthy throughout my pregnancy. I can say that it also helped strengthen my preggo body.
Back then, I told myself that when my child is already a grownup, I’ll encourage her to try Yoga. I just didn’t know that my child will be able to try Yoga as soon as she’s 3 years old. 😄

Blame it on the quarantine or my excitement as a first-time, but I really love making our toddler try different activities that I think will contribute to her development. One of these is trying out Yoga.
Tash attended her first ever Yoga session under Kids Yoga Corner, which offers fun-filled and educational Yoga classes for kids.

Benefits of Yoga for Kids
Aside from being another fun activity to keep a child happy during quarantine, Yoga provides so many benefits to a child’s health and development. Here are some of them:
- Improves breath control
- Improves upper body strength, flexibility and mental clarity
- Improves focus
- Improves cognitive functioning
- Improves the mood

At Kids Yoga Corner, the concept of Yoga is taught to children through fun and educational activities like singing, games and storytelling.

I was actually amazed how the different Yoga poses were taught to Tash through a simple story. Tash didn’t lose focus and really did the poses as much as she could. ☺️
